This course will teach you the art of polishing, you will learn how to polish with the knowledge and confidence to obtain a professional finish.
Stephen is a Master Polisher with many awards and over 50 years of experience working and teaching his trade, he originally worked for crown jewellers Asprey & Garrards and worked with Theo Fennell. Stephen's work is displayed in palaces and museums around the world.

Rubover/flush Settings
This course will cover many aspects of this style of setting so that a professional result can be achieved. Areas that may be covered:
Tools, rubover, bezel, flush, gypsy, faceted, cabochon, round, oval, princess, pear.
You will be provided with sterling silver samples and CZ stones.

Note; Students need to have some setting or jewellery making experience as there is pendant drill work, buffing and filing involved in this course.

Jewellery Casting at the Bench
Cuttlefish casting and Delft clay casting are a fun, quick & easy way to cast at your bench.
During this course you will make a simple wax shape which we will be learning to step by step cast in cuttlefish and Delft clay, you will then be able to compare methods, reliability and result for each process.
You are encouraged to bring along other items for you to cast, a class environment is a great way to learn the many possibilities of Cuttlefish and Delft clay casting, we get to cast some weird and wonderful items on this course!
